Zarita Zevallos, Project Manager at CANY, grew up in Haiti, studied engineering in Puerto Rico, architecture in New York and now feels professionally at home working on the City’s historical architecture. Her engineering background fuels her curiosity during site visits, especially when a wall opens up and the structure is revealed. She loves collaborating with engineers to problem-solve in real time. Skilled in drafting, she understands and communicates how things work, or don’t. Zarita’s path into façade restoration was unexpected, but with encouragement and support, she’s built a career she loves, in a workplace where she feels healthy, challenged and valued.
