Kate Groob, RA, Director of Professional Services within the Historic Preservation team at CANY, wanted to be an architect as a child. A tenacious, hands-on problem solver, she helps preserve New York’s heritage buildings for future generations and keeps facades safe for New Yorkers and visitors. A self-confessed perfectionist, Kate gets into the details as minute as matching historic gold leaf and paint colors while also considering the building as a whole within the historic fabric of New York City. Many of her projects, managed from start to finish, have been honored with industry awards including the Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award.
